I must say that wikis have been the most difficult concept for me to grasp so far. However, with an online tutorial my professor provided us with as well as searching the internet myself, I have learned a little more. I guess the most difficult part for me is that I do not have my own classroom at this time so attempting to implement wikis in my classroom is a bit more difficult.
A helpful resource has been TeachersFirst.com as it has a clear definition, many examples of how to implement wikis into your classroom as well as resources to influence an administrators and/or parent’s decision. Another great resource is Wikis in Plain English which was added by “edteacher”. The title explains the video ~ collaboration by a group of people who can edit the page at any time!
